Topic: How do I trigger something to be shot with the crosssbow as a trigger?

Well you know how in the game you can use the crossbow and lasersight to aim at an item to shoot and sometimes this will open a door or something, well how do you set this up in the editor?IP: Logged |

As far as I know, this can only done by having a shatter object on a heavy trigger. For example, in the TUT1.WAD, you could put the vase (shatter0) in a place that Lara can see but can't access (on a high ledge or behind a small opening, for example.) Then place a heavy trigger beneath the vase, and link this heavy trigger to a door. When Lara shoots the vase, the door will open. Of course, a vase may not be the best choice for this, so find a WAD that has a more suitable shatter object.IP: Logged |

Right ,,,this was the only thing I could think of too, but there were other options in the game that I have not figured out how to do in the editor yet,,,thanks...I guess this is the only way for now.IP: Logged |

I'm actually convinced that this is how it is done in The Last Revelation. If Eidos ever releases the WADs from the last few levels of the game, I'm sure we'll find that those jewels in the tigers' mouths were just well-placed shatter objects. But if anyone else has any other ideas on this, I'd be interested in hearing them as well.IP: Logged | |
